Treatment performed for exhibition in Food and Fashion
The tears and areas of loss to the paper of the dress at the bust darts and shoulders required adhesive stabilization. I made overlays of very fine paper toned to the required red or cream/yellow, and painted it with Jacquard Textile Paints to imitate and overlap the original print. The overlays were adhered with Lascaux Acrylic Adhesive effectively stabilizing those areas.
